Steps to configure SnapXT device:

I. Powering on the device:

  1. Plug the wiring terminal into the black power adapter.
  2. Plug in the 8 prong White and Green Power Cord into the back of the SnapXT device.

II. How to connect device to Wi-Fi/Network:

  1. Once powered on, swipe up the up-arrow button on the middle of the screen to arrive on the applications panel.
  2. Tap on the Settings option (wheel icon) to open the settings menu as highlighted.
  3. From the settings screen, under “Wireless and Networks” select the appropriate Wi-Fi and enter the network credentials as highlighted.

 

III. Installing the Application:

  1. Return to the Home Page by selecting the “O” icon at the bottom center of the screen.
  2. Select the up arrow from the bottom middle of the screen.
  3. Select the “EZ MDM” icon.

4. After clicking the app, it will start loading the application “Certify Snap”.

5. After the download is complete, return to Home Page by selecting the “O” icon at the bottom of the device.

6. Select the up arrow from the bottom middle of the screen.

7. Select the blue colored CERTIFY Snap present in the first row.

IV. Testing the device:

You are now ready to test the device. To test,

  1. Return to the Home Page (screenshot above) by tapping on the “O” icon at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Select the up-arrow button from the middle of the screen.
  3. Select the blue “Certify Snap” icon in the first row.

4. This will launch the Certify Snap Application.

5. Stand in front of the device (approx. 50 centimeters away) and confirm the device is

accurately reading your temperature.
Note: Please be sure your face is inside of the rectangular box for an accurate reading.

V. Adding the device to the cloud portal:

  1. To add the device to the Certify cloud portal, tap on the left top corner on the Certify Snap application
  2. Enter the password (the last 6 digits of the serial number) and press enter.

3. This opens up a menu as shown below:

4. Now tap on the link “View Connectivity Status” present in the bottom right corner.

5. Here the CERTIFY Cloud Connectivity is been selected by default.

VI. Device Settings:

This is where the environment is set for the device access.

  1. https://api.certify.me (Production URL, Default): Set this URL for collecting actual data.
  2. https://demo.api.certify.me (Demo URL): Set this URL for testing purpose. Readings won’t be recorded with the actual data.
  3. You can find the Device Name and Device Access Password in this Settings.
  4. Show Navigation Bar: Select “yes” to show the navigation bar. If you wish not to see it, select “No”.
  5. LED Switch: Select “yes” to switch on the LED, else select “No”.
  6. LED Brightness: You can adjust the brightness level in this.
  7. Data Management: If you want to Sync online Member Data to Device, select “Yes”, else select “No”.
  8. Reset Members: If you wish to reset members then click grey box saying “CLEAR ALL MEMBERS” .
  9. Reset Local Data: If you wish to clear the data and cache, click the grey box saying “CLEAR DATA AND CACHE”.
  10. Log Data in Offline Mode: If you want to records data logs in offline mode ,make device offline by moving slidebar towards left for disabling it.(Second Image)

VII. Temperature Settings: 

This is the setting for threshold temperature for the device.

  1. The default setting for all devices is 100.4F
  2. Temperature Compensation: compensation value related to temperature network.
  3. Set temperature threshold for display: Select “Yes” to set temperature threshold, else select “No”.
  4. Display temperature above threshold: If you want to display temperature above threshold, set the value.

 

VIII. Upload logo:

To upload a custom logo for the device home page.

  1. Click on the “Upload Logo” option.
  2. Click a picture of the logo using the Camera option or select the logo that needs to be uploaded from the device gallery and Save to see it on the home page.

 Note: Once the logo is uploaded, you cannot remove the logo. You can replace it with a new one.
 
IX. Home view settings:

customize the text on the home page.

Enable Home Screen: If you enable this section following are available.

  1. By default, the text “THERMAL SCAN” is configured for the large text box and “Welcome” is configured for the small text box.
  2. These texts can be changed by on the Home View Settings on the device menu.
  3. Screen display time (in seconds): You can set the display time here according to your convenience.

Enable Text Only Mode: If you enable this section

  1. Enter Full Screen Text is available where you can give your own text.

X. Scan View Setting:

Customize the text on the scan view page

Configurations for image scanning is done one this page.

  1. Display temperature: Select “Yes” to display the temperature details on the screen after scanning. Select “No” if you do not wish to display the temperature details.
  2. Capture image of user: Select “Yes” to capture the image of all users while scanning. Select “No” if you wish not to capture images of all the users.
  3. Capture image of users with temperature above threshold: Select “Yes” to only capture the image of the users whose temperature is above threshold.
  4. Enable Mask Detection: Select “Yes” if you want to detect the presence of mask. Select “No” if you wish not to detect the mask.
  5. Enable low temperature scanning: Select “Yes” if you wish to scan low temperature, else select “No” if you wish not to scan low temperature.
  6. Screen display time: By default, the screen display time is set for 1 seconds after the scan is complete.
  7. Allow Scan only on close proximity: Select “Yes” if you want to allow the scanning within 2ft, else select “No”.

XI. Confirmation View Settings:

Customize the text on the confirmation page.

Confirmation text for temperature below threshold

  1. Enable Confirmation Screen: Select “Yes” if you wish to see the confirmation screen after the scanning is complete.
  2. The main text is set to “Thank You” by default.
  3. Screen display time: It is set to 1 second by default.

Confirmation text for temperature above threshold

  1. Enable Confirmation Screen: Select “Yes” if you wish to see the confirmation screen after the scanning is complete.
  2. The main text is set to “Thank You” by default. You can fill out further in the section : “enter sub text”.
  3. Screen display time: It is set to 5 seconds by default.

XII. Identification Settings: 

  1. Enable QR Code Scanner: Select “Yes” if you want to enable the QR code scan, else select “No”.
  2. Enable Anonymous QR Code Scanner/Bar Code: Select “Yes” if you want anonymous QR Code, else select “No”.
  3. Enable RFID Scanner: Select “Yes” if you want RFID scan, else select “No”.

There is a screen timeout for RFID and QR CODE Scan of about 5 seconds by default.

  1. Enable Facial Recognition: Select “Yes”, if you want facial recognition, else select “No”.
  2. Scan Mode: Select “Easy” if you want the scan to be enable within a considerable, else select “Strict (Recommended)” if you want it to be scanned only within 2ft.
  3. Display Image and name on the confirmation screen: Select “Yes” if you want image and name to be displayed, else select “No”.

Facial threshold value is set to 80 be default.

XIII. Audio and Visual Settings:

Audio Alerts

  1. Enable sound on normal temperature: Select “Yes” if you wish to enable the sound for normal  temperature, else select “No”.
  2. Enable sound  on temperature above threshold: Select “Yes” if you wish to enable the sound for temperature above threshold, else select “No”.
  3. Enable sound for valid qr code: Select “Yes” if you wish to enable sound alert for valid QR code scan, else select “No”.
  4. Enable sound for invalid qr code: Select “Yes” if you wish to enable the sound alert for invalid QR code scan, else select “No”.

Visual Alerts

  1. Enable light on normal temperature: Select “Yes” if you wish to enable light on normal temperature scan, else select “No”.
  2. Enable light on temperature above threshold: Select “Yes” if you wish to enable light for temperature scan above the threshold, else select “No”.
  3. Connected BLE light : If you want light for temperature value, select Connect (link) and connect to the device name.

For testing, select LIGHT ON in the grey box. If the temperature is normal it will show green light and if the temperature is above threshold it will show red light.

If you wish not to test, select LIGHT OFF in the grey box.

XIV. Enable Guide: Select “Yes” if you wish to see guide messages during scanning process, else select “No”.

  1. The default guide messages that are set are :
    • “Please center your face to the screen”
    • “Move closer and center your face”
    • “Please wait, preparing to scan”
    • “Please step closer”

XV. Member Management:

This setting includes registering members with the HID and RFID cards.
This syncs all the members present in the Certify Portal.

If you want to register a new member, click the blue color icon present in the middle of the member management page seen in the above image.
After clicking the icon, the Register page will be seen where you need to fill the following details:
First Name
Last Name
Email Address
Phone Number
Member Id
Access Id: When you tap the RFID/HID card, the unique ID is seen in this section. When it is seen, click on “ENROLL”. Then click on “REGISTER”.
